Ill again :(

On Sunday night I was ill again for the first time in about 3 weeks. I was feeling ok during the day but in the evening I began to get some bad stomach aches. It was only a mild 'attack' but it wasn't very nice and I struggled to get to sleep. I will write again soon,

Hospital visit.

I went to the hospital on Thursday. And saw my doctor (who is very nice). He told me that I have to have another biopsy and one up the other way. I will also have to take some funny medicine the day before. I will probably have it in the last weekend of February. I was taking some tablets everyday for ages but now I have to stop them but if I get poorly again I will start taking them again. Until next time, goodbye! :) xxx

My funny turns

My abdominal migrane can come on in a matter of minutes. I had had a head ache for most of Saturday and then at tea time I felt really poorly. We didn't think much of it to start with but then I found my self getting very bad stomach pains. I found myself spend most of that night on the toilet and feeling very ill. When I get these attacks, I struggle to lie down. I have to sleep sitting up as they usually come on in the evenings. Sleeping sitting up is the only comfortable way of sleeping and that is very uncomfortable. I also get a very I itchy rash on my arm. I am going to the hospital this week so I will write again then.

All about me!!!

Hi my name is Sophie and I am 12 years old. I have recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease meaning I can't eat anything containing gluten. This is found in wheat, oats, rye and barley. I have also been diagnosed with having abdominal migrane which can give me bad stomach ache at night and it can sometimes keep me awake until after midnight. The hospital are trying to treat it but it is taking ages. It is really hard trying to find places to eat out with the coeliac but I think it will get easier in time when we find places that are suitable. It can be very awkward for me when we go in places and they say there is nothing they can do for me. I am also a member in a group for coeliac children which doesn't make me feel so different.
